A creative writing project with high school students in Estonia.
Welcome to our collective project Mapping Your Journey to School.
This creative writing project is designed for Ukrainian and Estonian students in Tallinn and Tartu, Estonia resulting in a collective video of student poetry.
Creative writing can bring communities together. It can define who we are and who we want to become. It can encourage us to live in the present by observing the here and now. Through writing, our lived experience becomes undeniable, our ideas and thoughts are shared through the written word.
The goal of this project is to bring high school students from different backgrounds together in a shared creative and expressive process to find common ground and to encourage a stronger community.
Mapping Your Journey to School starts with making a zine and encourages students to observe and record their journey from home to school through writing and tracing their movement through the city. Then their writing will be added to this site and to the collective video.
Join us by participating in this project!
