A creative writing project for youth in Estonia.

Welcome to Mapping Your Journey, a collaborative creative writing project.

This initiative brings together Ukrainian and Estonian youth living in Estonia, culminating in a collective video that shares student voices through poetry.

Creative writing has the power to connect communities. It helps us understand who we are, imagine who we might become, and attend more closely to the present moment. Through writing, lived experiences take shape and become visible—our thoughts, memories, and perspectives finding form in language and shared expression.

At its core, this project fosters connection across different backgrounds through a shared creative process. By writing, reflecting, and listening to one another, participants discover common ground and contribute to a stronger sense of community.

Mapping Your Journey begins with workshops that invite students to observe and document their daily paths—from home to school—through writing and by tracing their movement through the city. These personal narratives are then brought together on this site and woven into a collective video.

We invite you to take part and add your voice to the project.
