Making a Zine
A zine (pronounced zeen) is a self-published booklet, often created by writing, drawing or gluing images together onto paper for photocopying. The publication is usually folded.

Create an 8-page zine booklet following the instructions below.
Either download the PDF zine, or work from a blank sheet of paper.
Keep the zine with you and write your reflections on it.
The writing prompts on the zine include:

How do you prepare for your journey to school?

What do you see and do before school?

How do you get to school?

What or who do you see on your journey to school?

Observe and record landmarks, people, colors, and quality of light/shadow—and anything else!

How do you feel on your journey?

What sounds do you hear? Are they loud or soft? Repeating?

Think about all of your senses and draw your journey to school starting with a line.

How long is your journey? Are there stops along the way? What do you see, hear, smell, feel?
